SAPREM-NGO is a grass-root social service provider working in the field of education, health and community empowerment. SAPREM initiated its activities since 1998 by the group of Social work professionals, and providing services for Rural and Urban community development. It has a huge geographical spread throughout the urban and rural Maharashtra. The core competencies of its institution lie in Education, Health, Training & Community Empowerment.
SAPREM runs various programs like, Personal Health Check-up, Women’s Legal Aid and Counselling Centre, Pulse-Polio Eradication Program, HIV-AIDS Counselling Centre and Observation of World Aids Day, Vocational Training program, Sanitation project i.e. Nirmal MMR Project funded by MMRDA through Kalyan- Dombivali Municipal corporation, Pre-Primary schools (Balwadi) for 700 children at Andheri, Primary English medium school for Rural and Adivashi Children at Birwadi, Taluka Shahapur, Scholarship Project, Hostel for the students, Nutrition project for the Balwadi children, SHG development programme, Eye check up and cataract operations, Special school for the Mentally challenged children at Dombivali etc.
SAPREM is also implementing income generation projects at Birwadi and Andheri area; it aims to empower women and girls from the underprivileged section of the society. Under this project tangible marketable skills are imparted to women in the age group of 18-45 years.
SAPREMhas started its English Medium School-Formal Education project which is Education Department-Government of Maharashtra approved; for the Tribal and rural children at Sai Nagar, Birwadi, Shahapur in Thane District. The School initiated in the year 2011 and there are approximately 85 students are receiving quality education as this facility was not available nearby 18 kilometres jurisdiction.
Our activities scattered to Mumbai, Thane and Raigad District of Maharashtra State in India. We got registered under Society Registration Act and Public Trust Act in 1999 and also Central Government has given us FCRA certification in 2004.
We have a strong Managing Committee, Volunteers, and a core team of trained personnel. The professionals are from the field of Social Work trained through various Social Work Institution e.g. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)
We wish to focus on the tribal development, training, education and nutrition, health and community developmental activities through the promised resources and participatory approach which would be the partners in developing concepts of bringing social change for better India and which will reflect Globally.
